the trust door

Posted on by Martin Corder

In the wake of tragedy comes change. . .

Recently we were talking at club about the Florida school shooting tragedy and the emotional impact on the lives of the kids. I see many of them do not have a relationship with Christ, but they come seeking something that is lacking from their life. They don’t know what it is but they know something is missing. With the shooting, many are feeling a greater sense of being lost and fearful. They’re struggling to understand…. “How can God let something like that happen?” I remembered this quote to help them with their questions: "We've seen so much that brings tears to our eyes and makes us all feel a sense of anger. But God can be trusted, even when life seems at its darkest." — Billy Graham (1918 - 2018).

Trust is the ’something' many of the kids are missing. They don’t realize it but they're seeking someone they can trust. Spending time listening and sharing your life opens the door to trust and it makes all the difference in the world when you introduce them to the One who can be trusted even when life seems at it’s darkest!
