‘all the world’

I hear imitation is the greatest form of flattery. . .

Recently at our Friday Family Fun Night, three sisters, one 5, 7 and another about 9 years old who live nearby were waiting for their mom to come walk them home. As I was cleaning, I overheard the girls as they played on the stage where I meet the kids for our closing message after the movie. The littlest one said, “I’ll be Larry!” Of course, this caught my attention and as I turned to see, the littlest one said my signature line… “Hands up, hands together, hands down.” The sisters followed her lead. She then said, “Let’s pray… I wish all the children to be happy and get home safely, and everyone says…?” “Amen!” the others yelled and ran off to play. I stood there in disbelief for a moment, deeply moved and humbled by this small act of imitation. The Apostle Paul said, "follow my example as I follow Jesus.” I cannot imagine the emotions Paul must have felt to see his disciples follow him as he followed Jesus, but I am sure it included tears.

Jesus commanded us to go into ‘all the world’ and make disciples, starting right here at home. With you as a partner and member of our team, we’re seeing young lives transformed as they watch our example and follow Jesus.
