according to our likeness

In last week’s High School Club we looked at Genesis 1:26: “Then God said, let us make man in our image according to our likeness.”

We discussed what it says about who they are, whose they are, and the value they have. We talked about how people see them, how they want to be seen and known, and where they feel they can truly be themselves. I was amazed by two things: The first was how often kids needed to juggle their different relationships. Who they hang out with depends on what they’re doing or who they’re with. In each relationship, they usually have to morph into a different person- often, even at home. When I asked, most agreed it was so tiresome and difficult. The second thing was almost every kid shared how here at Campus Life they felt they could actually just be themselves. What a blessing to know they feel safe enough to be real.

Thank you for providing a place kids can grow in their understanding of who they truly are, become followers of Jesus, and then share the hope they’ve found.
