YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer and the Word of God, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

kids need a safe place

Too many kids lack nurturing homes and a sense of belonging. At our Youth Centers kids find a safe, fun place to relax and caring adults who take the time to know them. Campus Life programs offered at the centers provide opportunities to discuss life lessons from a Christ-centered perspective. It is our goal to have a youth center near every high school in our valley.

Point Break is a day-long workshop designed to promote resiliency among students. Reslient students display social competence, problem-solving skills, personal responsibility and a sense of purpose and hope for the future. Students learn to choose conflict resolution over conflict and respect for others over disrespect. Students not only discuss compassion, they participate in it! They not only talk about respect, they experience it! Reconciliation takes place right before their eyes as students share their own pain and come to grips with how it has affected them as well as those around them.

City Life is a relational, holistic, community based ministry that desires to see deep change in an urban neighborhood through the raising of indigenous leaders from the young people in that community. Our vision is to empower urban youth to change their community for Christ.

  • By keeping a tight neighborhood focus and living in that neighborhood if the Spirit leads.
  • By doing relational, holistic ministry with a critical mass of youth from that neighborhood.
  • By raising indigenous leaders who don’t move out, but stay and give back.

kids need hope and encouragement

Many young people make poor decisions related to drugs and violence. These kids often end up in Juvenile Detention Centers feeling broken and hopeless. And our Point Break Workshop reaches kids with a powerful resiliency program in local schools. The Juvenile Justice and Point Break staff and volunteers offer listening ears and the hope and encouragement found in a relationship with God.

kids need someone to imitate

Kids are always looking for role models to imitate, but many are growing up in relational poverty where they have no good role models to follow. Our YFC Mentors, Real Life, Parent Life and Juvenile Justice mentoring programs provide kids with long term trusting relationships with adults that form the foundation for healthy influence.

we are unique in our work

Although we offer fun and helpful programs for kids, our real work is building the relationships necessary for kids to thrive. By providing places where youth feel secure, by delivering a message of real hope, and by being people kids can truly count on, we are seeing lives transformed.
